Condolences to OP. But there easily could be undiagnosed health conditions or other freak things. More likely to die on your way to work, from a lightning bolt, or from pneumonia at that age than Covid

It's a pandemic people are going to die, thankfully the deaths are overwhelmingly impacting people of retirement age or older and children are essentially immune.

I mean, yes, COVID-19 will ravage people with pre-existing health conditions, but it can also affect people who are totally normal. There's almost 8 Billion People on the planet, which means 8 Billion entirely different immune systems. Some people might be susceptible to COVID-19 while others may not, there's no way to really tell. I'm sorry for your loss OP, and hope this serves as a reminder for people who don't think it's a big deal. Yes, 80% of the population will not get affected by it, but the other 20% will, and then out of that 20%, some of them will die. Just because you aren't affected, doesn't mean that someone who you regularly associate with too won't get affected.

I don't understand the hate against people that don't think this is the apocalypse. We realize there is a pandemic going on thankfully it's not anywhere close to as bad as we thought it was going to be at the onset. Based on the data we have now unless you're over 50 you should be pretty comfortable living life as normal (meaning act as if we're in a bad flu season washing hands avoid touching your face, etc). If you're an at risk group due to age or comorbidities take personal responsibility to be as safe as you feel comfortable

For example if the only goal was saving lives we would have declared nationwide martial law for 3 weeks and closed all borders with national guard enforcement in every state so that this thing could die out wherever it may have existed at the time. Since that won't happen and isn't a reality we have to continue to exist work and eat and take personal responsibility for our own safety as we see fit.

I'm more concerned by the reports of people not dying but ending up with permanent damage to the lungs or other organs.

People better wake up. This is dread.
The goverment never tells the worst to the masses. Hence hysteria and disruption. So smart man assumes the worst.
Get your immune systems up and take precuations. Not much more you can do.
The concern is real folks. Be certain of that.

Is the virus to be taken so seriously that the economy must be shut down? Fuk no. It's not nearly that serious.

Did he exercise consistently or live a sedentary lifestyle?

All you have to do is follow the money. You know how many trillions have been lost just by shut downs and no sports?
If anyone thinks this is a joke they deserve to kick the bucket on principle alone.
All our lives are on the crap table now chaps.

You cannot say you’re in the safe zone because of “Xyz”, because you cannot possibly know how your body will react.
