People often get Stockholm syndrome when held captive. An irrational emotional bond between captor and captive.
To me that is exactly what has happened. People want to be held captive at this point because this is what we now know as normal. Politicians are just giving people what they want.

All you can do at a personal level is live your life and get stronger, more educated, more skilled, more well read while most are getting fatter, weaker and stupid. The best part of this is you can see who the morons are in your life based on their reaction to this. Get rid of them in your life.

Somebody told me that when you get tested positive you keep getting tested until you come back negative and each of those positives count.

I'd expect a jump in cases due to reopening for sure. I'd like to see what the death rate is over this time.

That makes sense. THere is drive through testing but how do they get 15,000 positives in a weekend. So its only 15,000 tested in a weekend, which is still alot. 10% of that = 1500 cases.

lol thats like 2 people admitted to the hospital for COVID over the weekend for the entire state. But Florida is an epicenter and national emergency right?

These numbers today cannot be compared to rates from NY CT and MA in March-May when testing was nearly impossible to get. Now they have mass drive through testing for people that dont even suspect they have it but just want to see. Many of those getting tested now are symptomless and there is a 99.9% chance they dont have to go to the hospital if they are positive.


Media should be reporting important numbers like mortality rates, # of hospital patients admitted, deaths as either suspected or confirmed ect. but they have an agenda

This isn't affecting the raw numbers reported, 15k positive results is 15k positives. It looks like some labs aren't reporting their non-positive test numbers, and the positivity rate is therefore showing as 100%

Hospitalization rate and death rate are the only 2 stats that I'll pay any attention to. Funny how little time the media devotes to these numbers right now, as opposed to 3 months ago with NY.
