Yep. I watched it on tv when it happened. Beware of articles written recently about it, by SJW millennials and zoomers who bring their own 2020's political biases to the story.

The satchel "bomb" was used to remove a fortified MOVE bunker on the roof before the police could raid the premises. The paragraph you quote omits that critical fact. The police weren't just randomly bombing people for chits and giggles.

As I recall from the time, the big story was not the raid on MOVE, so much as the city not doing anything to prevent a city block from going up in flames. That was the actual scandal.

Read the story. They'd had shootouts with MOVE in the past and were involved in a lengthy standoff with them when this event took place IIRC. The bunker on the roof was the target, not the people in the building.

Clinton sent tanks to Waco.

So if your point is that the 2A exist to protect us from tyrannical government and government agencies, then I agree with you.

If your point is that MOVE was just a bunch of innocent black revolutionaries and Philadelphia was in the wrong, then take it up with the democRAT party which has run that city for many decades now.

Trump could end these riots across the country in 10 minutes...

If he went on the national news and guaranteed a full pardon for any person defending life or property against UNLAWFUL protest and rioting, this would all be over..

There would be no violence and no confrontation, the cockroaches would scatter at the thought.
