Same. People always love my burgers and I tell them exactly how to do it but they never believe me. The secret is to use the high fat cheap meat, some Lawry's and some worcestershire and don't over cook them. People try to get too fancy with them and over season or put too many different seasonings in there. Keep it simple

I don't share my recipes with anyone.

And most of them aren't written down anywhere.
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.

Honestly all the best recipes are easily available online.

I don't even ask peoples' recipes because they'll most likely say no and I know I can easily find a better recipe online anyway.

Pretty much. Secret recipes are douchey unless you own a restaurant. Any recipe I find that turned out amazing I’m usually over eager to share it with everyone.

One of my all time favourites is Marcella Hazan’s tomato sauce. It’s so simple with only 4 ingredients (canned san marzano tomatoes, one onion, salt, butter) but when combined it transforms into a truly extraordinary sauce. I’ve shared this recipe with all my friends and family and everyone that made it now uses it as their go to sauce.

Roy Choi’s instant ramen is another favourite discovery of mine because I hate processed cheese (except on my mcdoubles) but I love this.

im very lazy on BBQ's, or kitches in general lmao, i prefer to be served like a king, so thats perfect for me.

-"Bro damn these are good, whats the recipe"

-"HURRR DURR SECREEET KEN SECREEET"

-"Haha all right my man i can respect that, as long as you keep cooking these for me man"

Exaggerate a bit on the compliments, even say some bull**** like "we should discuss being partners and selling these srs" or some crap like that. Brb dude's happy cooking for you every 2 sundays while you watch football (not handegg, actual football)
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Burgers are all in the bun.

Gotta spread mayo and toast on a pan

Mix 1/4 stick of softened butter and 1/4 cup brown sugar per 1lb of 80/20 ground beef.

You are one-hundred percent right about this, OP. It is LAME AF for amateur cooks to withhold their recipes from friends. If your buddy owns a restaurant or a business, then sure, it makes sense for him to withhold his recipes. Because that's his business and his money on the line. However, if he cooks for a hobby or a passion, it is a bish move for him to withhold his recipes.

I was talking to my homie the other day, about cooking meat in a smoker. I ran some of my techniques and ideas by him, and he ran some of his by me. He put me up on to all kinds of game, and really gave me some great tips and hints. So anyone who cooks "for fun" and not for business, should always share their recipes.

Makes him feel special to believe he has what someone wants. Helps fill the massive void in his life from being a vapid as$hole without substance, much like glass. His big thing is cooking meat.
