I feel like we've made a lot of progress in halting the body shaming and praising curvy physiques (see the Khardashians) but this is almost unfair to models if promoting "healthy body images" becomes more important across all facets of the fashion/fitness industry than showing off the hard work of those who train meticulously to be at the top of their game.

yea i mean.. it might just be about business. like i think people might not like it, but imagine you're a magazine owner. you advertise your bod and you're now the minority when 60 to 70% of america is fat. you only sell to 20% of the population because you are now rare

meanwhile, you make a fat magazine and your demographic is now the 70%. the 70% is a better move

shiattttt. maybe if you stayed as a niche product and hoped it changed back at some point you could do it, but you'd be losing out on that business initially

Pretty soon you desperate "HTC" simps are going to price fat girls out of the market.

By chasing after the lowest hanging fruit you will soon increase its value. Pretty soon what used to he a 3 or a 4 will be a 5 or 6 and demand dates, respect, and courtship.

People who are not into fitness likely still prefer to look at athletes/models/etc than your average person who does not keep themselves in the same kind of elite aesthetic shape.
