Yeah my sleep has been real poor which I am sure doesn't help. I drink about two cups of coffee a day. Seems like these are a worthy trial to fix, and see how that effects the anxiety.

Try and figure out what triggers them and then why. Awareness is the first step. Then you can intervene. If it gets worst, consider consulting a clinical psychologist that specializes in CBT for anxiety.

Good luck OP.
Thanks brah. Right now I've been relying on ****** once a day to get me through...for the last 3 months only though. I don't plan to take it long-term. I know that caffeine heightens my anxiety so I need to cut that out first, since it's low hanging fruit.

Yeah, I used to get panic attacks few years ago. My hands would shake and I had severe palpitations. But at that time I was working at a very stressful job. Do some meditation and progressive relaxation techniques and you will be fine.

Tingling is from the breathing. Panic attacks cant go on more than 10 mins. Keep these in mind next time.

You’ll be ok. Get your sleep. Dont stay up at night. Exercise.

I had a spell of these for like 3 months back when i was 22

It takes a huge mindset change to fix

When it happens dont fight it, let your body panic, it cant physically hurt you, its like a nightmare

If you just let body try to freakout it eventually loses interest and fuks off, its a feedback loop

Bros, that dying feeling is no joke. I legit thought I was gone. And started to panic even more about how my family would cope. Awful stuff.

I’ve recently started having panic attacks too oppie and I feel you, they are the worst thing I’ve ever had to deal with, and I’ve been in multiple life or death situations and I’ve had regular anxiety attacks throughout my adult life, to give some context.

in b4 dear diary:

Mine were initially caused by taking SSRI’s, tried two different kinds, after a few days of taking each I woke up in the middle of the night to intense panic attacks, never had one before in my life. Like you op, I was convinced I was dying and I just kept repeating ‘somethings wrong, somethings wrong’. It was my gf who told me I was having a panic attack and after that I was able to calm down. But the first few I had lasted 3 hours each.

I’ve been a mess since then. Slowly coming out the other side now. But I continued to have attacks despite not taking medication, I developed a generalised anxiety disorder, constantly In fear of the attacks and lost over 15% body mass, became a shell of myself. I completely lost touch with my own body and any sensation would cause me anxiety.

I’m in CBT now, but have found it hit and miss. What I did find helpful was:

1. Knowing that they are not dangerous and my experience was fairly standard - the physiological sensations, the catastrophic thinking etc.

2. Knowing that they will pass and it is just a rush of adrenaline from a prehistoric part of your brain, often without a clear reason for it.

3. Knowing that I can handle them and trying to frame them as character building, I lean in to them when I have one now and really try to experience them, I carry on with whatever I was doing and I do not do any coping mechanisms, no breathing etc, comfort seeking, etc. I only do this after the attack as a reward.

4. Not thinking. This is the hardest but the most effective I think, I try to not think about stressful things and thus try not to worry, I try not to think about body sensations etc, just try to live in the hear and now. Like other have said, this is achieved via mindful meditation.

5. They can have a positive effect. I don’t know if this is due to mindfulness or just becoming comfortable living in fear, but normal fearful things don’t really phase me now. I’m more assertive and more self assured. I do a lot of extreme sports and the **** I pull now I wouldn’t even have dreamed of 6 months ago.

TLR - they are horrible but you can handle them bro.

Side note - adverse effects from SSRI’s is a clear sign of autismI’ve been referred for a diagnosis...

You can drink teas which will help like 20%. If you want to reduce you anxiety by a large amount stay off anything that has caffeine
Never understood why people have the “need” to drink coffee.... and yes any amount of caffeine is bad for anxiety, even a soda
Ashwagandha made me kinda tired or chill feeling but not enough to make me sleepy or inattentive. It'd probably help if anxiety is more a body experience than a mental one. In my experience a lot of people who have panic attacks kind of have them come on randomly/situationally and it's not linked to bad thought loops. With full on panic attacks I'd definitely say since you drink 2 cups of coffee a day you should cut the caffeine and see if it helps OP, I'd be willing to bet it would have an improvement. Try out Ashwagandha and see if it helps you too, everyone's different. If you'd not categorize your panic attacks as due to bad thought patterns triggering them, I'd also recommend asking a doc for a script for Proproanolol. Beta-blocker with next to no side effects, commonly prescribed for people who have stage fright. Good option for someone who deals with just anxiety and doesn't more likely have some comorbidity of mental issues like depression, ocd, adhd or something. Much better than something intense like benzos.

Has nothing to do with that idiot. My house and truck are paid off, I love my job and get great pay. I can stop working and **** off for probably a year or so. I have no worries in any way shape or form, yet I have had severe anxiety attacks completely unprovoked. But if you disagree, we’ll see how Valhalla looks at you vs me when put in the same room LOL.

Panic disorder crew

If it happens again get a script of anti anxiety meds. The Er visits will cost way more

I don’t even drink caffeine from soda brah. Literally zero. Helps tremendously.

Stay away from benzos like diazepam, *****, etc

You can ask for SSRIs tho but I only recommend if your anxiety is REALLY BAD, like literally out of control.

I had a traumatizing experience in feb, never suffered from any anxiety issues ever, eventually my anxiety got so bad I had a panic attack everyday several times a day, eventually everything would scare me even going to work or the market.

SSRIs saved my sanity srs

Problem is when you take these large doses

For example The one I take you usually start with 10mg and can take up to 40mg, I only take 5mg and never increased my dose even tho doc would happily give me pills.

We’re all in a rough spot right now boyo, we all gon make it

And cut the caffeine, ****s bad for your heart, your blood pressure, your nervous system, and anxiety. Too many drawbacks for too little benefits
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

-I'd rather live life saying "I failed" than "I could have"
