Like people don't know what's unhealthy so we need education? Besides how is the education the answer when everyone has a different opinion? Just in this thread someone claimed the cause is meat and dairy when there's gazillion keto people arguing the opposite.

Food is subsidized like crazy in the US. Hunger is what ultimately will make the population overthrow government. It's no coincidence that people have as much to eat here as they want, as it's the easiest way to make people happy.

Watching some idiot buying two monsters and three candy bars with food stamps pissed me off. Making it more expensive to be a fat ass seems like a good idea.

I don't think shaming is the correct answer, but putting a stop to all this ridiculous glorification of obesity is. It needs to be said that it is NOT healthy and it's not something to downplay.

You liberal yuppie fuks disgust me. Taxing sugar, exercise, eating healthier?

Get the fuk out of here. You can't turn fatties into humans. It's a mental disease, trying to treat the physical symptoms won't change a thing.

Fat people should pay more for health and life insurance. Pay their fair share. Also medicare medicaid should scale back coverage as fat % increases until a complete cutoff at 40%.

Double their medical costs. Can't pay? Then we can roll them back into the Ocean.

Or, we tie them up and beat them with sticks so all the candy falls out.

Lmao @ fatcels.

We shouldn't do anything. Let them eat their way into oblivion in the only life they'll ever get.

Everyone literally has a computer in their pockets and access to endless information about health and fitness... yet they chose to play candy crush.

Public education on health/fitness is the only real answer. It's America, people are free to choose what they eat for better or worse.

If you're between 18-50 and can't run a 7 min mile you have to pay 3x what your health insurance is.

Obesity will be cut in half in 3 months

Stop with the absolutely ridiculous portion sizes, and sugar/corn syrup in everything you guys eat. Also, teach healthy eating at school from a young age and make it mandatory for all kids to do at least 12 hours of exercise per week.

Show how obesity is the single most predominate condition people have who end up in the hospital with covid.

Kind of interesting how this fact is swept under the rug.

no but you don't have to be 300+ to be unhealthily overweight... a beer or two a day over the course of a year is equivalent to 15 lbs a year.
