Agreed with starting yoga - seriously OP, follow some videos online or something and actually do it consistently. I used to do acro-yoga a few years ago and want to start it back up, doing that in conjunction with heavy lifting really helped me stay limber and avoid a lot of aches and pains, it kept me loose.
If you've already been diagnosed with a "degenerative disk disease", then that really sucks but it means that you'll probably never be healthy enough to heavy squat or deadlift lifting. I'd recommend trying to do as many seated exercises as you can, and focusing more on accessories. There's no reason to give up lifting completely. Leg press may be easier than squat as well, and you can still do lat pulldowns or other things for your upper and mid back.

Ab work + reverse hypers if you can, otherwise maybe Superman's or good mornings. Core strength is important.
I ****ed my back in HS and got spondylolysis. Lifted hard AF in college and then hurt it at one point and now even 5 years later high volume back squats and pulls usually **** it up.
Now I just run a lot more and do front squats and rdls under 300lbs. Sucks man

I just physically cant do them i dont wanna hear that op is a pussy for not doing deads.Switching beds can take a while to get used to.. you need to figure out what is triggering your back problem. Its most likely as i said you are putting pressure on your spine with some other exercise. Try eliminating each exercise from your workout for 2 weeks. See if it is 100% the deadlifts causing it. If it is the deadlifts go lighter and higher reps and focus on proper form, breathing, core support.. no need to lift heavy pretty sure you only need 30% 1 rep max till failure to achieve hypertrophy. So theres no reason to stack heavy weight on if you have an injury.
Some core exercises might help you also.

He literally got a herniated disk, got it confirmed by the doctor, and said himself he did "zero PT or rehab" and just went right back to lifting heavy for his next Mr. Olympia. I admire a macho attitude as much as anyone else, but that was just phucking stupid and unnecessary.
A better example would be Derek Poundstone. Dude had a spinal fracture competing in strongman, took 8 months to actually properly heal and recover, and then came back to win more titles. And the difference between Poundstone and Coleman is Poundstone can still deadlift 800lb, even today...

I had insane back pain a while back where I couldn't even turn or bend, I was on a PPL so I skipped legs for 6 months and sat straight all the time and no problems now, maybe give that a try and see how it goes?
