If anyone was being argumentative it was the manager. Thought the cop was going to tell him to calm down and instead got in that guys face and threatened him for no reason. The manager was yelling and power tripping because finally his zero skill job had the opportunity to actually do something, so he thought. Pretty sure the manager can’t just ask you to leave he isn’t there to talk he’s there to make some purchases. There needs to be a reason to ask someone to leave and since this guy didn’t do anything other than wear his helmet - something there isn’t a law or posted store rule or regulation against - I personally think it’s pretty shaky ground. If people are scared they need to get a grip. I thought he was fine to the police he explained what happened and why he was wearing his helmet which is not illegal. It’s a ****ing Walmart not a bank, ****ing try hard manager

Cops were being dicks but ultimately I side with them.

They were thinking about letting him go with just a warning and the tresspass order but decided to charge him with tresspassing for the original incident where the walmart manager told him 5-6 times to leave the store and he refused. Its not illegal to wear a helmet and the walmart manager cant make him take it off, but the walmart manager certainly has the right to tell him to leave the property and he refused, so its a valid charge. He should have thought about that before being an edge lord.

The manager doesnt have to justify his fears, he can tell him to leave the property. Him not hearing the manager, he will probably use that as reasonable doubt in court. Up to the jury if they believe him and if walmart has video footage of the manager confronting him multiple times. Likely though wont go to court over some minor case like this, probably some type of no contest probation type deal offered and edge lord will probably take it.

Walmart isnt a small mom and pop. It makes sense to run in and do some quick business. It seems he wasnt lingering or being odd but getting things then leaving. Could be untrue - if it is it hurts his position. I dont expect to commnicate with anyone when i go into woamart which i personally dont do.

We dont know how long he was in there or what their confrontation is like, it isnt shown.

I actually do. And I kick people off all the time for hanging around our business.

This situation is not the same though. I couldn't imagine kicking someone out shopping in my business for practically ZERO legit reasons.

Walmart bosses are probably thinking "wtf is this manager doing? this customer didn't do anything to warrant being harassed to begin with"

Thats an opinion. The manager has the right to remove him, whether or not other people like his reasons for doing so. That it was legit or not is just an opinion. If he told him to leave multiple times as he claims and the guy didnt leave, then he committed a crime. At that point the complaint is just that the police are enforcing the law and not chosing to not enforce it for him. You shouldnt commit crimes and just expect the law to not be enforced, if you dont want to be arrested, dont commit crimes.

I would fire that manager for harassing customers that are paying their salary. But yeah, just my opinion.

Skipped to 8 minutes and first thing it said was the manager asked him 5 times to leave. If this is true, then the helmet guy is an ******* and deserves it.


Don't get me wrong, it's a stupid rule. But it is private property and you're not entitled to wear anything you want in a private business.
