To be honest, I would put some on her plate first, then serve myself. But I wouldn’t really to go out to a dinner like that unless it was a girlfriend or someone that I’m seriously dating.
But obviously etiquette aside, her reaction is a problem. It’s hardly something to be upset about, and she should be grateful you took her out to a nice dinner
