Those types of guys are fine as well, just saying, its not a competition of the same style of appeal.

A young teen has a lot more emotional resonance than we remember.

If you dont have an "alternative" appreciation for that out side of your wheelhouse it meant you didnt have romances in high school or felt the high of getting hit on by the cutest guy in school/church/party or whatever. That in itself is an emotional high that i assume you lack experience and development in due to your seemingly chronic insecurities.
