I love it but hate it. Anyone else get me?

If you go to the gym and dont post a heavily edited workout selfie on insta with some bullchit inspirational quote, did you really even workout?

no, not at all!
1. I mix my supps and put them in the bag, get dressed and drive the 20 min to the gym.
2. i put the mask on, stretch, and hit it hard.
3. unless she is a latina or a hotty with a great ass, i barely see anyone else.

Many people are consumed by self hatred and don't even realize it.
To be on this forum and say you hate gym culture is pretty lacking in self awareness.

100% this. I pretty much keep to myself but I love the environment. Online gym culture and actual gym culture aren't really the same. In the gym everyone is the same in a way, just brah's of all ages and backgrounds working to better themselves.

Idk about you guys but when I first started lifting weights I went through a stage where I was very autistic about it. It's all I would talk about, all I thought about and all I read about. I made good gains, went from being a turbo fat ass to an 8 pack and having girls tell me I had an amazing body... Which felt good but I hit a point where I realized I need other interests outside the gym and started to see that when your identity revolves around the gym you become kind of obnoxious and very cringe... So I still lift 5-6x a week and still track macros and enjoy it but I don't talk about it with people. If someone asks me about what gym I go to I'll tell them but I never talk to someone unless they bring it up first. Some people get stuck in the autistic phase and never realize how cringe they are about lifting.
