5. Led zeppelin 2

After 5 its hard to do but a bit after would be:
Abbey Road
White Album
Led zep 4
Are you experienced
Thriller
Ten
Ride the Lightning
Currents - Tame Impala
Animals
Rumours
Paranoid
Cosmos Factory
Tommy

Yes rock heavy but thats because rock albums tend to have more complete song lists... less filler than other genres. IMO of course.
I like the list. Pretty much covers the majority of GOAT albums.
Was astounded to see Pearl Jam- Ten at #160.

LOL @ Lauryn Hill, 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' @ 10th place
"This is a very sexist industry,” Lauryn Hill told Essence magazine in 1998. “They’ll never throw the ‘genius’ title to a sister."

The cancer is real.

This magazine has turned into a dogsiht news organization. I litterally have the Mick and Keith special issues on my coffee table down stares and there is a reason for that. However it has got so political over the last years it's become unreadable.

Rolling Stone are a bunch of musically illiterate marxist dip****s trying to inject their cringey black power politics into music. I agree with Pet Sounds at #2 though, what an album. I would have Yes - Fragile at #1.

Breh it's rolling stones. This is like being upset at a list IGN put out regarding gaming.

These old businesses are living off of the name based on when they were good.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is so overrated, its unbelievable.
Somewhere in the bowels of deepest hell, Satan is assessing the potential of this shyte as the permanent soundtrack to an eternity of being hosed down with Bernard Manning's diarrhea.

Lot of pandering here. How is Thriller not in the top 10? Appetite for Destruction not in the top 50. Did Jan Wenner bottom Lou Reed? Lot of Velvet Underground in Lou Reed far too high on the list.

The Beatles ratings other than Abbey Road are a joke. In no world is the White Album better than Rubber Soul. Sgt Pepper at 24? Stop it. Listen to the bass playing and drumming on that whole album, it's ridiculous.

Rolling Stone sucks

Don’t know enough about rock to sit hairs.

But just lol at Kendrick and mbdtf making the top 25, they wouldn’t even make a top 20 top for exclusively rap albums

If Thriller isn't number 1, that list is worthless. It's like the one album on the planet everyone can agree is awesome. There's a reason it sold the most. Ever meet someone who doesn't like Thriller? No, you haven't because those people don't exist.

Does this list seem politically motivated? Yes.

But it might not be anything intentional. It could just have to do with the people on staff at RS.

The Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder picks are both great albums. And I think I know almost every song from Rumors by heart.

Interesting choice. I really think Yes was an influential group and I don't hear their music much anymore.

Well I do try. I was very resistant to embracing digital music. And I don't think that the current model is all that supportive of the album format with songs being sold (or streamed) as singles.

A few I've found worth listening through:

Bumping for more miscer top album lists or album recommendations.

Caught a couple of songs from this and could be promising. The leader of the band is a good songwriter:
