Perhaps you need to make that clearer in the OP.

"Normal" is being redefined in response to real demographic changes. Rates of Christianity in "Christian white countries" are falling, various cultural forces mean the nuclear family is in decline and immigration rates are increasing.

Your attempt to redefine "normal" is not just a resistance to shifting cultural perceptions, but to real societal changes; for better or for worse.

I can understand why this frustrates you, but it really is beyond your control.

Is being overweight normal? Because in America, for example (before you bite my head off), 2/3 of the population are overweight and beyond. Is being a fatty part of your definition of normal? Or do you just ignore statistics that don't fit your idealised view of normality?

And yes, this transformation can be stopped if the normal is reinforced by parents, friends, school, etc.
But truth be told, USA - since many of you are from there - might have never been normal in that sense hence the confusion for some of you.
Most countries in Europe are/used to be until recently.
