Also, if they weren’t born into money, no salaried young guy is on a good compensation package. Only us older legacy careercels have good packages. I got paid more As a fresh grad back in the day than a fresh grad does now. And when we normalize for inflation and COL, the difference is about 300%.

The autoloan thing is what gets me. Neighbor rolls up in brand new truck costing 60k plus. Lol even if you spread that out over 7 years its a heft payment for a vehicle that will never tow a horse trailer. The ibggest payload it will ever have is 3 bags of mulch lol

My hypothesis: even though most miscers don't actually lift, I'll assume they do since they are on a bodybuilding website. People who lift and take care of their bodies are by definition hard workers and responsible. I would assume the people with these attributes would also be hard workers in their careers and responsible with money.

I would guess that if you make a vendiagram with overweight people vs fit people and people in debt vs people not in debt, the fit people and people not in debt would largely overlap.

Most miscers want to act like they made it. Not sure what someone's opinion of you on an online forum would matter, but i guess they have an alter ego.

You know what's even crazier? We've known from the work of neuroscientists and psychologists for a long time that things don't make you happy. The new truck will last a month or two tops before buyers remorse sets in and then you realise you're stuck with a massively depreciating asset FOR WHICH you have to go to work every day to pay off.
Rather than creating a passive income through yearly dividends, real estate and other income streams where you can afford the exact same truck but this time your $200/mo from dividends & $250/mo rental income profit after loan repayment covers the whole cost of owning that same truck.

The misc is an odd mix of people. during working hours, you basically have the unemployed basement dwellers or teens with no knowledge of the world OR six figure desk jocky's who do jack around on the internet for half the day. So no doubt, the misc is equal parts fraud and baller.

I just like talking about money. I'm interested in early retirement and have put a lot of effort into that goal. It's not something that you can really talk about to friends or family though.

People IRL get really upset if they feel like others around them are doing better. This is why miscers get mad and try to call people frauds if they say they have money.

If people really wanted to stack $100k in a year, they would do it. Most people are too lazy. There's no way you fail if you properly reverse engineer it. Most people simply won't complete the set of tasks it takes to get it done.
