Yes, eventually
No- use debt but only the type you can get cheaply (eg no car loans because the interest rate is more than it’s worth) Debt secured by property is the cheapest debt

Learn where every bill you earn is going via budgeting, aka Envelope system. brb making 2 grand in 2 weeks, so bills are divided up into envelops where i put how much it costs into it, along with play money, money for car problems, etc
https://www.daveramsey.com/blog/enve...stem-explained
Use the "If you can't buy it twice you can't afford it" line to double money, or even triple your money on purchases before buying it so you actually have cash left instead of being broke....The majority of everyday purchases not talking houses n big investments So if tinted windows cost 200 for example, if i got 600 saved up for that specifically in the envelope, we good.

Control needless consumer spending - oh I need a 2k phone, or I could buy last years model @ fraction of the cost. Cigarettes, alcohol, take away food all of this can eat up an income. If you're struggling then you have no room for moderation, cut these out completely. Also secondly, utility usage reduction. Shorter showers, not having every light on etc. You could trim a few thousand a year on bills with just some small sacrifices.
Make a simple spreadsheet to tally up your monthly costs. Living, expenditure, utility bills etc. Every month check what your previous bill was and see if it's less this time - no an absolute science because of Seasons etc.
But the reason why so many people don't have much money is they are poorly educated and cannot keep up a regiment with spending. All of this requires constant discipline.

I really believe meal prep saves me a lot of money. I enjoy cooking and I freeze a lot of yummy meals. I hardly EVER buy lunch (office-cel). And I don't usually buy coffee. I ride my bike to work, and that saves on fuel & parking.
I hardly ever buy new clothes. And because of my job, I haven't had a phone bill for .... almost 9 years. I don't own a computer, phone or tablet (work provides me with all three).
Have never, ever borrowed money (except student loans).

If your GF/wife makes an income then it only serves to help fund the costs together, even if she makes less. Let's say you make $80k and she makes $30k (or vice versa), and she's willing to split the bills 50/50, or maybe even 30/70 due to the income discrepancy, still a likely net savings for yourself on the monthly basis, difference in apartments between a 1/1 and a 2/2 in my area is only like $350 a month, so her $30k easily covers more than that, in addition to her split of the food/bills. Granted her birthday, anniversary, Christmas, Valentine's all adds up against that too but still. If she makes closer to your income then it makes even more financial sense at an individual level. That's not even including tax benefits for filing as a married joint couple too, if married.
I can understand though if she makes little to nothing, has no drive/goals, doesn't split the bills, demands/expects more than she herself can even provide, yeah it's just like taking on a leech at that point.

i have been drinking smoothies as my primary breakfast and dinner meals with ramen imbetween for lunch.
I buy protein, olive oil, oats, carrots(freeze them), brocolli/cauliflower(freeze them), and bananas(freeze them). Mix em all together for a decently high calorie smoothie that never gets tiresome. Costs less than $3 a day to eat well balanced and nutritious meals.

I only buy things that will make me happy (for a sustained period, not something like an immediate hit of serotonin), or makes me life easier/quicker/more convenient or comfortable - or that I can tax deduct.
It's pretty much broken down into, household bills/essentials (can't get out of, mortgages, bills, food, maintenance, gym membership)
Tax deductions
I've got to the stage where I dont really buy things anymore and my budget is completely locktight, especially in lockdown when you cant go on holiday or eat out that easily.
I just spend a few hundred a month eating out with friends / dinner parties.
If youre struggling with saving, I'd look at what you could cut back on your fixed outgoings (remortgaging at a lower rate, taking out a loan at a lower interest rate to pay of higher interest rate debt, paying for your electricity for the year up front, changing internet providers all that kinda stuff) and also maybe look into an app like Plum or something that can help monitor.
I dont trust 3rd party apps with my banking info, so I use an excel spreadsheet to track all of mine every week. I think its paramount to know where youve got money coming in and where its going - otherwise its too easily spent.
Now I've got to the stage in my business where I pay myself the same every single month, siphon off a portion for tax into a separate business account, and then when I pay myself I transfer ~90% I immediately into a savings account which I dont touch.
Adjust budget by skewing the % of savings you put away each month until you find something that can work for you.

Sell house or stop leasing apartment. Build one of those studio sheds for $30k with all the works. Would need to spend another 10k to put a bathroom/shower extension with plumbing as well as a kitchen with appliances, but if you don’t mind a small space, it’s cheap af compared to owning a large home.

My breakfast and lunch combined today cost me about $3.50, that's for ~100g protonz, ~100g carbs, ~15g fats, and MUCH higher food quality than some fast food chit. Sous vide + seared boneless chicken breast, 3 servings jasmine rice split between the two meals, and a couple handfuls of frozen chopped veggies in each.
