But you shouldn't be browbeat by some schmuck because you aren't given free money away. I don't go to food establishments to get hobo-hassled by a worker behind the counter.
I believe the service industry should be paying their workers liveable wages. But the American economic system is designed to cuck the common man.

Restaurants should just pay servers min wage and be done with tipping. Fk them for putting the responsibility of "topping off" the wages to the customer.
Most servers are also entitled kunts who cant even manage to get you a refill but still expect a 15% tip.
Servers after tips will make much more than someone making straight minimum wage. What makes a server that much more valuable compared to a grocery store cashier?

You tip a server because it's a performance-based bonus. The server seats you, takes your order, and dotes on you through the length of your meal basically running errands for you.
A barista takes your order, makes the coffee, and hands it to you. Do they check on you through the life of your cup of joe to make sure you don't need anything else? No, they don't.

I actually own a very successful restaurant and have worked in countries where tipping was not normal but wages and prices were increased (France) So yes I have a very strong understanding and am well versed in the “business knowledge”
I would prefer going to a no tip model but I cannot pioneer that, because I would lose all my business or get lashed back or even sued (see Tom Douglas, lost 3million raising prices and telling people not to tip, then redistributing the Raise % as wages)
It would enable me to equalize the pay difference between front and back of house, considering my servers make 35-75 an hour.
But I’m still going to point out the obvious flaw in his reasoning.

If you're going to tip .25....its better to just not tip at all.
Should have said "here's a tip....get a real job" then never go back to that place again. Lol at expecting a tip for doing your job. You're not a waiter/tress and you make at least minimum wage...for your minimum skill/effort. You want a trophy b/c you showed up to work today too?
That being said....I usually throw at least $1-$2 dollars in the jar or onto my reciept every time I go into the shop near my house (which is like 1-2x/month)....but it's locally owned and not a Starcucks.
