this is what happens when cops are now to scared to do their jobs. A knife is MORE deadly than a gun at close range, a taser is non lethal while a knife is very lethal. It is not meeting the situation with the same kind of force.

I saw on Twitter that the officers gun jammed which is why it took so long to take him out - not sure if that is verified however.

This is what should have happened, but now this extremely competent (if you don't know Toni McBride is, look her up) female officer is being sued because they didn't have tasers on them. Cops are hesitant and scared to do their jobs now.

Why do people join the police without expecting to get into altercations which can be potentially life threatening? I get that it's not very common but you still have to consider these things to be prepared. It's like they just want to flex their badge and expect everyone to obey, while they maintain a fatcel physique with no agility, strength, or endurance.

This has nothing to do with not expecting these things to happen on the job, however you managed to deduce that from the video. She was likely asked to do non lethal while the others covered lethal, but when his gun jammed repeatedly and things went wrong, she panicked. That's got nothing to do with expectations of the job, rather a lack of training. The male officer, the second his gun jammed the first time (but it's the woman's fault of course) he should have been calling that out and she should have known to drop the taser and draw her gun. Zero communication to his partners. Nothing from the other guy either. Just silence. She's actually the only one who made a peep when she called "taser." How is he, or the other male officer, any more competent? All around, the entire situation reeks of a lack of training for when a situation doesn't go as planned.
