I'm actually starting to look really good now without taking anything but preworkout. Trying out a cycle of roids may have appealed to be for like a Summer back in college, but being too big is a liability after a certain age. People are afraid of you, and it doesn't do anything.

When you get great results naturally, you won't feel the need for any help... I never needed any growth hormones, roids, fat-burners, etc. to achieve a jacked and ripped look non-flexed. I did all on my my own, and with my own programming (much of it spontaneous).

I also knew I wasn't interested in competing, so there was no incentive to even try anything.

There is nothing more empowering for a woman than knowing you achieved a strong and muscular physique naturally- through grit and genetic ability.
Fact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson! He also fought in the war, sacrificing the career he deeply loved, so people could have the right to freedom.

I earn money by people wanting to be around me. It's not good for business if everyone is afraid, as I'm not a super energetic friendly guy so I need others to meet me halfway.

I plan to plant a couple mini-Novacaine's in the Mrs sometime in the next couple of years, and don't want to do anything that could possibly interfere with that. After that I will at least seriously look into TRT.

Strange to even ask the question. You shouldn't need reasons to be natty.

On the contrary you'd have to have some pretty good reasons tonotbe natty.

Natural gains are definitely more gratifying imo. Knowing that I achieved what I achieved all by myself, without the aid of something else. Knowing I built myself from 120lbs to where I am, simply by hard work over years, not with the help of a drug. That's why.

1. It's not necessarily easy to get the most reliable, up to date info on gear or cycles

2. Similarly, it's a black market and can be either risky or unreliable to get what you need or know where to go

3. Expense - I currently have a lot of other expenses.

Honestly pretty much just those reasons. I'd also be concerned about becoming dependent on it for my T levels to stay normal, and ruin my natural hormones, but as I mentioned in point #1 I don't know the details. I've also heard that even doing a single run and then stopping can give you a life long increase in muscle fiber nuclei, so I don't know what the risk would be with just one run either.

Basically just a lot of unknowns and risks that result in unreliability for me.

Edit: To add to this, I don't necessarily find natty gains to be "more gratifying". Progress is progress, if I'm getting stronger that's honestly all I care about. If I know I'm giving it 100% and I'm moving forward, that's it mane.

Because everyone I know that did it lived to very much regret it.
I’m older than most here and was in the gyms in the 80’s when gear was very easy to get and laws didn’t even really exist yet. I just never wanted to fuk around with drugs that I had no idea what the long term damage was.

Everyone I know that did it got huge. Came off of it. Shrunk. Lost hair. Lost their glow. Got acne. Aged horribly and became a little unstable. Maybe they were already unstable though.

Now it’s 2020 and I never stopped hitting the gym and am healthier than all of them. I was always big so I never needed drugs to get to that point.

I never judged anyone that wanted to do it. Their body, their choice but for me it was not a good fit.

How would you know? It’s easy to say that but when you can actually see the difference in your appearance over a 3 day stretch it’s an unreal feeling.

So many misinformed people in here but that’s ok.

FYI those of you ITT who think your aces drinking alcohol every weekend (even in moderate amounts of 5-6 drinks) are likely doing more damage to your health than a responsible (key word... responsible) cycle.

Now if it’s a money thing, or not wanting to educate yourself thing.... I get that. But those of you talking nonsense about health reason are straight up misinformed buying into the BS narrative that’s spun by media.

I bet most of you talking health reasons don’t even sleep an adequate amounts which has long been linked to high blood pressure among many other health issues.

For a forum that likes to dispel media content so much it’s ironic so many of you are susceptible to it on certain narratives still.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Sounds like a good thing. GH also can cause you to grow new muscle cells, so you're bigger and can grow bigger more easily after the cycle in both cases.

QFT. A moderate cycle of test a few times a year or TRT is not the same as running Tren and other designer steroids. Health issues are more of a concern for IFBB type cycles.

Long time no see
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

But aren't you gambling that your natural testosterone will return back to the same level pre-cycle?

If it decreases you might be dependent on TRT or blasting and cruising the rest of your life.

Main reasons are

1. Havnt reached close to my genetic potential so no point since its expensive and shortens your life for no benefit currently
2. Hairline is already receding in my early thirties

If I get closer to 40 or max out my lifting i MIGHT consider it, but gear isnt critical to being at least very good in aesthetics bodybuilding or powerlifting if you know what you are doing. Layne Norton is a good example of someone who i feel is unlikely (not impossible) to be on gear who was very successful in both mostly through just being extremely dedicated and had the skill needed.

For the average guy who just wants to move into the top 5% of adult males gear isnt required. I think people underestimate just how easy it is to look/be stronger than 95% of adult males, since they have been conned into thinking IG is real life.
If you are trying to compete in the top10% of people in your sport/looks globally then gear is probably required.
Athletics > Aesthetics
I guess its time to start training again.

With the proper PCT, you’ll recover. It’s rare your levels would be shot cycling responsibly.
