A ton going on? LOL. This will sound sensationalist but I assure you it's not. Tens of millions if not HUNDREDS of millions of people would die. Die from lack of medical care, starvation, violence, and exposure.

Electricity is required to keep EVERYTHING going. Transport for food, manufacturing of medicine, heating and cooling, and the list goes on.

BEST case scenario if it hits, we know ahead of time, and can shut the power down nation wide. This MIGHT save say 30-60% of the grid. So some areas will still have power. At first somewhat stable. But as the plants will lack resources and logistics from it's parent company it will become intermittent at best.

The problem is logistics is setup for the national level. It will be a giant cluster fukk for months. So at BEST you might get spotty food, medicine, and heat.

By the way this would last for DECADES potentially as the US doesn't keep a transformer stockpile to replace them. And guess where they are exclusively made? You think they will be willing to sell any to us PERIOD? Or not until they fix their own country.

It's predicted if it hits hard and worldwide, and shutting the lines off doesn't save parts of the grid, it could take up to 100 years to replace all the transformers. Assuming we could even get china to make them for us, or figure out how to make them here.

There was literally one in 2012. It missed earth by 9 days and hit a satellite. Nobody predicted it, there's almost no warning.
