Life without awesomeness does not imply life without meaning.
Life can be spectacularly chitty, but still incredibly meaningful. If you subscribe to lobology as a psych concept, then even the simple endurance of immense suffering can provide meaning, thewhy[to get up, to continue even though conditions are poor]. Viktor Frankle's "Mans search for meaning" (a reasonably gentle read detailing his experiences in Auschwitz, and what could be derived from the behaviors and attitudes of the other prisoners he was with) discusses this.
So to answer OP's question - Just find awhy. Continue to exist.
