Sure, of course. The point is that we don´t know. I´m here to challenge the belief that there is certainly other life out there in the universe, when in fact the opposit might be the case as well.
Point being, is that we don´t know nothing. And can never really have 100% proof of anything, since we can´t even prove our current reality to be true. All laws are subject to change. The moon could collapse into a black hole tomorrow, or maybe it just did as I was typing this. Have you been looking out the window, I don´t see the moon, maybe it teleported 2 seconds ago.

As the above poster correctly pointed out, this is uninteresting solipsism [and is not new either].

The thing I find amusing about people taking this position [oh my, nothing is known for sure, we are in such a random chaotic world with no laws, gravity could change at any moment and the sun might not rise], is that their actions and behaviors seem to say differently- they go about their lives as usual in the rather non-chaotic world we live which is based in physical law.

For example, they buy that newest gadget, with the belief that it won’t just mysteriously vanish overnight [why would they fork down hundreds or thousands of dollars for this, if it would just vanish arbitrarily?- they must have confidence it won’t] They drive their cars down the road, knowing that Newton’s laws won’t just randomly change and their car will be flung sideways into opposing traffic randomly. They buy groceries knowing they will be still be in the cupboard the next day. They plan their lives around the regular happenings on earth such as the sun rising and seasons, and buy Christmas presents, despite their unjustified suspicion that the earth might spontaneously disappear by tomorrow.

You can tell a lot from the behavior of a solipsist.


btw...hopefully you understand this, but the moon rises and sets since the earth rotates, and there are also clouds and obstacles that obstruct the view...
