But it was a great place....brand new ....right across the street from work....had a gym....fire pits and BBQ's ....a soundproof jam room for playing
guitars,drums,keyboards....even a outdoor fenced dog walk. Also has a Save On Foods grocery store attached to it.

But they are all working from home til at least June 2021 and it could be a permanent thing so he moved back here for now.

definitely not. minimum wage is higher than most states in the US but overall pays less, cause everything is also more expensive here than the US as well and some careers that should be paying a lot, pay more in the US, I think tech industry pays more in the US and more job opportunities. lot of factors.

NYC and SF minimum wage are both $15, and I know plenty of waiters and bartenders who can clear 100k a year pre-covid. That's all I know about jobs that pay way more than the necessary skillset. I'm sure there are warehouse workers falling in that spectrum somewhere. Tech obviously pays enough in NYC to have a good time. SF... fuk that place.

Here's a home for slightly less than 1.4 in Whiterock. In a decent area in Edmonton it probably goes for 550-600k. Probably 650 in St. Albert and Calgary. I get what your saying but you were just exaggerating a bit.

it's not a great place lol. my cousins are american and the first time they came up here, they were like... yeahh... cold hearted people, nothing to do, not fun, aggressive, racist. i heard the same from other americans and even most people living here feel the same way, lot of people want to get out.

it was friendly growing up here. but the amount of racists and angry people just keeps going up with more immigration and less white people, though I do agree that some immigration is bad, I can't blame immigrants for that, it's the government that is retarded. we have entire public colleges of east indians. the people that run this city/province don't understand people... there was a time where the ****in premier(senator in the US) made getting highschool courses $500 a piece. way to make getting a basic education harder.

and the amount of homeless and drug addicts is insane

pissing everywhere, ****ting on the sidewalks in downtown, lot of deviance. u walk inside a public washroom at the park and there's like 4 homeless dudes doin what they do. they got needles in beaches, playgrounds, public transit

there were weeks when I walked over dudes sleeping outside my place everyday, they sleep on middle of sidewalk
