I dont get it.
I always figured that most dog owners are people with children. The kids get home at around 2-3PM, and they can look after the dog. With kids, the dogs are alone for about 7-8 hours. (With just an adult, working a 9-5, the dog would be alone for about 10-11 hours)

We had German Sheppards growing up but we also had 2 acres of land and a large home. You could put the dog outside on a run, if we were home you could just let it out and it would stay in the yard unleashed. They are good dogs, all of the homes around us were burglarized with the exception of ours most likely because of the dog.

I don't see how you could have one if you or someone is not home with it all day and you are living in a small home and all of the houses are on top of each other.

My parent's German Shepherd is a loving dog (cuddles with their cat), great protector, high IQ, etc.

But he's a big pussy, lmao. 100 lbs so a decent size, but he's the type of dog that's loud with his bark but in actuality a wimp.

Super fun, playful, and curious. Also really intelligent. Very athletic. And one of the most loyal breeds that exist.

He grew up in a house with several people and had 5 acres of land to run around in for the first 6 years of his life. He's lived well brah. He's technically my parents dog but I was the one who trained him and took him to class for socializing etc.
