In addition to this, her ego is Uber inflated because she has been making a ton of friends as a nurse while I sit at home work from home 8 hours a day.
Looking at this objectively there are tons of red flags. She's outgoing at work and having fun hanging out while you at sit home unemployed. Not even trying to be a dick, but the odds are she's begun talking to other people already. Her using it so much is a sign she's unhappy being around you. As much as we want to believe woman will stand by us, they would much rather find a happy fun guy with a good career than to sit at home with their depressed unemployed bf. I've been through this twice in my life and no regrets because sometimes you have to take a step back to take two steps forward in life.

This right here. ^

Think long term. If you have children with her, will they be glued to an iPad so mommy can get her social media fix? Or will your kid have to pose or be perfect all the time so she can upload pics and posts about them for attention?
Might want to factor that in.

When you guys make these threads you need to decide what your long term goal is....

Are you only with this bish for sex? Or are you looking for a mother of your children?
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

-I'd rather live life saying "I failed" than "I could have"

Theres a good possibility shes not talking to guys or has no inention to talk to guys sexually or even cheat, but its just who she is, obsessed with texting non stop.

There are a big chunk of people already in todays society like that, its annoying af for me and I couldn't date anyone like that, that goes out on a dinner date with their loved one and is on the phone constantly... lol... OP I feel sorry for you because that really is annoying and horrible and disrespectful towards you.

Take out the suspicions of another man/cheating for a moment Is her actions that of someone you want to be with for the rest of your life?

I know a guy in his mid 40s who's wife (also 40s) developed a social media addiction. When they are home as a family she's constantly on her phone on social media. They go out to eat as a family and she's on her phone at the dinner table. When his kids get home from school she doesn't help them with homework and he does because she's on her phone, etc. She's constantly wanting home renovation projects, new cars, etc. to keep up with her friends/social media appearances. Etc. From what he tells me, its just freaking toxic. I can't even imagine.

You need to call her out on her BS. When yall are together you expect to be together. If yall go to dinner/on a date and she can't be bothered to leave her phone at home or in the car. I'd seriously consider cutting her loose. This is not marriage material and who you want to raise a child with.

My GF has a pretty big family spread out internationally and she manages a business and also does marketing for her job through FB. So she gets texted/called a lot from her employees, her family, and customers. Because of that its really not uncommon for her to be getting text messages or ******** messages all the time. Its something we had to discuss as well. She deleted all social media aside from FB. And logged in on FB on my computer so I can 'check up on her' if I want to. Also gave me her phones passcode and all that jazz. When she gets a phone-call she always puts it on speakerphone as well. Has no issues leaving her phone at home/in the car when we are doing something together so we don't get bothered.

I didn't even have to ask for all that she just volunteered it. But if we'd have never discussed it that sh!t would have just kept building up tension. The big thing for me is we need to be able to do to dinner or do stuff and leave her phone in the car. Because other-wise she will be getting messages and phone calls... And if its her siblings they will continue to text and call if she isn't answering.

What part are you insecure about?

I wouldn't be able to stand someone who can't put their phone down for a few hours or w/e and just be present.

If you tell her to cut back on it watch the chitstorm implode.

Obsession with social media is something that small minded people are attracted to. Their life is chit so they are always worried about other people's lives.

Not to rain on your parade, but you’re living a pretty toxic relationship. Having passcodes, deleting social media, controlling your girlfriend, etc., is more insecure than the OP. Your girlfriend is volunteering to do this for you leading you on and giving you a false sense of security. Cheaters are good at this. Good luck with your future breakup.

i would suggest gaslighting her to slowly cut her off from all of her friends and family, also possibly isolating her physically as well by moving you two many states away and then chit talking everyone she knows until you're the sole person in her life and she's dependent on you completely.

I'm not a fan of girls who can't put their phone down when we're out, it's disrespectful. I haven't exactly ever had to deal with it, but if I did I assume I would probably just leave.

Some girls can’t even watch a movie for 10 minutes without grabbing their phone and using it, then they complain about how boring the movie is

Personally I can’t put up with that and I’d be severely annoyed by it, you don’t need your gf to be sucking other dudes dicks in order to be annoyed or displeased with her.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Men everywhere need to understand that we have options and don't have to put up with this.

I'm not sure if you should be insecure about what she is doing on her phone, but you should be 100% concerned w/ the fact that you're dating somebody who would rather spend every waking moment on her phone than actually spending time with you. When you have guests/GF/company over/whatever... it is rude and disrespectful to be on your phone.
