Here's even better news: even before any vaccines were announced that was going to be the case. With lots of preexisting immunity and well over 100 million Americans already infected and recovered, there are predictable patterns. There are more specific details in between like a short spike around New Year's, but suffice it to say in 30-35 days from now the numbers of new infections and deaths are set to plummet and never come back up. The vaccines are cherry on top, allowing normalcy to return a bit faster, and take away a lot of fear in Corona Karens.

Similar to the people saying the current spike of Covid is due to people not wearing masks...Most places have required masks for months. They act like something not enforced 4-5 months ago is creating the spike now.

they already signaled that we aren't going back to normal even after taking the (multiple) vaccines so that applies to the whole world and bill gates already said that it isn't going to happen at least till 2022.

and in 2022 they will probably change the deadline to 2025.

8 months to prepare for an inevitable spike during respiratory illness season. Yet no capacity expansions? Tons of nurses and other health care workers are desperate for hours now. With 8 months we couldn't cross train any for a specific illness?

Regarding London's hospital capacity I notice they don't mention what it usually looks like in December and January, the busiest times of every year. Socialist historians will see this as the lesser evil, as government is their religion. But pan out and look at 2020-2025 and we'll see a sudden reversal in cancer death rates that were falling for decades. The increase in suicides has only just begun. Struggles of alcohol and drug abuse are already headlines and will be for years. The destruction of education for 2 school years has long-term ramifications. We're still in the midst of the largest transfer of wealth from the lower and middle class to the already wealthiest, in human history. A lot of economic shoes have yet to drop. Better than 50/50 chance we have an economic depression starting in either 2021 or 2022. At least one war is likely too. The law of unintended consequences is a true motherphucker.

Moved to Germany from Belgium some months ago, went in soft lockdown (no gyms, no restaurants, no sports, ...) beginning of November and things only got worse lol
