I think he's just a boomer who doesn't want to admit his generation inherited the most prosperous, free society in the history of the world and pissed it all away trying to build the world in John Lennon's 'Imagine'. Boomers really are the worst.

Either that or one of these people who have been tricked into thinking pointing out any problem and proposing a solution that doesn't exclusively involve personal responsibility is being a 'snowflake' and a 'communist', and that any solution is always just the bootstraps meme.

The issue is because politicians only see the short term i.e. whatever gets them (re)elected.

And little by little every year the problems get worse, but the focus is on the 2 year cycle.

The icing on the cake is that the dominant covid narrative is we must sacrifice the future of the young to save our elders, which is a total inversion of what would be considered a normal morality. Man I really hate boomers.

Gen X so I can see both generations. All the younger gen wants to do is smoke weed and play video games. Sure, boomers had their hippies, and my generation had stoners, but they really weren't that common. Sure, plenty had smoked it, and did sometimes, but not all of the time and they knew it was a drug. Newer kids think it's good for them and they puff on it all of the time in one form or another. Half of them are struggling to figure out their genders and own identities. Having identity issues is common with late teens early 20's but they allow it to consume them because they were raised that they are important. They believe that society should be so concerned about their personal issues. Fact is that society doesn't care, and those who pretend to care are actually using them. When I was growing up, and Boomers were growing up, you didn't admit something was wrong with you because it was a weakness. You didn't want to be different because that made you weird. No, you wanted to be one of the group, but you wanted to be the alpha. Now, being different, having something wrong with you makes you unique and special, so you get rewarded. When I was growing up, you were whining about something crying about nothing they gave you something to cry about. Now it just means more coddling. If they even thought you might be gay, you got your ass beat on the way to the parking lot, now the gay kids are superstars and get admired while they go to get picked up from school by their parents because they don't ride the bus.

Now it seems like every kid is in college. When I was in school, it wasn't easy to get into college. If you did, financial aid didn't cover books and living expenses. Usually you had to pay out but the financial aid was that, aid, not completely covering it. I don't know when that started paying for everything. When I was younger, most college kids were humbled. Now, it seems everyone in college is borderline cocky with confidence on how they will command the world when they graduate. The world will just be their oyster. This one girl in college telling me how the opportunities she will have when she graduates with her COMMUNICATIONS DEGREE from a small for profit college. Yeah, sure, employers will be begging her to come work for them. That tells me they are being pumped up by the schools selling them a fantasy instead of educating them about reality.

Here is the reality: The world is rough and you've got to be tough if you want to make it. The difference is that we grew up expecting this, younger generations grew up thinking if they just did what they are told it would be easy. There is no easy path, if there was everyone would take it.

Confirmed that the entire premise of the thread is to create a circle jerk of whiners.
Where's the whine? I already have a six figure inheritance with plenty more to come. This doesn't affect me personally.

Can’t blame them

The first and last generation to go from cradle to grave in front of a tv. Greatest gen were too old. Gen x/y are young enough to use the internet.

Try having a conversation with a boomer about anything. They just recite whatever the news told them yesterday

So, you are living at home, can't make good money, can't afford rent and crap? Here is a path:

If you are 21 or older with a decent driving record and clean criminal record: go into trucking. A lot of companies will actually train you for free and get you your CDL. Just spend a year or two on the road. Your only bill will be your cell phone bill and your pronhub premium account and you'll be making probably 50K your first year out. A few years into it you can become a lease operator and if you do it right, you'll own your own truck and from there you can get your own authority and run your own freight. Don't spend your money on lot lizards, eating out, or simping to websloots and you'll be able to buy a house cash in a few years, or just invest. Oh, but you are too good to be a trucker? Well, that's your problem.

I know. I have to tell myself that so I don't blame my parents. They get all their information from the TV and print media. It's like having a conversation with a blind man about art.

This also makes people like analchron even more reprehensible.

Yup. Whenever I’m at a boomers house the TV is just on constantly. This permanent buzzing that stops any sort of self-reflection or thought. My dad is spending his retirement evenings slack in front of garbage.

It drives me crazy. I can hack my parents’ house for only a few hours.

Even if you find one of the remaining good jobs you are still fuked because everyone else is always bishing and sees socialism as the solution, they will keep raising taxes and trying to take from you.

Happening now with these mandatory min wage laws, even red states are voting them in. These morons think the billionaires will just eat the cost and the poor get magically get more money with no decrease in purchasing power.

redpilled my parents in 2016 but some things I still keep from them. They still dont know about modern dating, simp culture and all that. I dont think they need to, its better if they are bluepilled on that, why know how bleak the world is becoming. They already know society is collapsing but I think i showed them enough depressing chit.

There is some fat married mid 30s woman at my mums work, she even let one of the married guys take nude photos of her and prob did more, she controls most of the younger guys at work and my boomer mum doesnt understand what is going on, she is describing modern simpage but doesnt know it. I let her stay bluepilled on this, she already watches stupid Q videos now, which I never showed her and are stupid, I dont want her losing her mind with too much at once.

Oh, you are too good to do that? Well, like I said, that's the problem. Fact is you really aren't that good, at least not as good as you think you are.

Now, signing off this thread, I've got to go to work.

Yep, I'm definitely no Bernie bro (or the like), but one has to be pretty intellectually dishonest to deny this stuff. I definitely spent quite a few years of my adult life struggling - even after doing the "right" things (ie going to college, and then even grad school for one of the most "practical" majors).

It never was. Get over it. My other post, I talked about the trucking thing. That is one path. I did it for 2 years. These are Paths nobody wants to take, they just take the bitch road instead. Oh, you are too good to do that? Well, like I said, that's the problem. Fact is you really aren't that good, at least not as good as you think you are.

Now, signing off this thread, I've got to go to work.
Please, tell me more about my problems. I have a good STEM job and six figures saved or invested.

I gave no answers in this thread. Only asked questions to try to get people like you to actually look at this objectively. I could easily take the same perspective as you and tell poor young people they just have to work harder. Obviously it was a fools errand.
