First two are epic, third one is boring af, fourth is goofy but kinda fun.

Prometheus and especially Covenant are terrible. Basically artsy-fartsy navel gazing autismfests from Ridley Scott.

Good action movie, but it was largely responsible for the downfall of the series and the direction future films would take

Alien 3 is my personal favourite.
Watch the extended version.
With the exception of one scene, the film is a masterpiece.

Aliens is one of my favourite films of all time. The budget they had meant it inverted the claustrophobia of Alien and took it outside, as it were.

Couple of bits of trivia (from what I can remember).

The set for the Queen was repurposed for the factory in Batman where Nicholson's joker falls into the vat.

The actress playing Velasquez thought the audition was about immigrants (she was only told the title). Turned up dressed in character as an immigrant and this is referenced in a joke during the film.

The gun which fits on the body and swivels around was seen by the US Govt who bought the patent for it.

It has some great one liners as well. "Ever been mistaken for a man....?".

Prometheus had some cool stuff and some other stuff that wasn't.
But Prometheus is a masterpiece compared to Covenant.

You avoid the uncomfortable truth.
The GOAT sci-fi actress, Signourney Weaver even talked down on Aliens because it turned the Aliens into a bunch of 'short stocky guys in suits.'

Prometheus could have been phenomenal but they fccked that up royally.

Logically, an unstoppable creature with no natural predators like the Xenomorph simply could not have evolved naturally.

With no natural predation, the Xenomorph would continue to propagate unchecked until all life is vanquished and the Xenos eventually die of starvation.....

This makes it more logical that the Xenos are a biological weapon designed by the Engineers to extinguish all life on a planet so they could repopulate it.
Everything I post is satire.

The first 2 were awesome. Then it just goes downhill from there

I disagree. The only reason it was unstoppable in the first one was because they were civilians with no weapons

Rewatched the Rambo franchise again not long ago. Great films and would recommend those if you havenโ€™t seen them recently.

Oh really?
That's strange, because I remember the xenomorph being directly blasted by the rocket booster at the end of Alien and it survived.
In Aliens they were dying from small bursts of gunfire (albeit future and powerful guns).
In any case, I'm going to say sitting in a booster with the flames engulfing 100% of your body is a bigger hazard to your health than gun fire.

How do you know it survived? The movie never said it survived, it left it ambiguous. And heat and bullets are two different things. Maybe it handles heat better than bullets

It was alive and well, in the end she only escaped the alien.

And I guess physics/chemistry + biology are an alien concept to you.
Not a living thing in the galaxy would survive being directly inside the booster rocket fire.
And to add to that, it's a future space ship too capable of inter-stellar flight, so it's probably many times or exponentially more powerful/stronger that conventional rocket booster fires.

On the other hand there are stories of guys taking a dozen bullets wounds and living to tell the tale.

1 - amazing but a bit slow, but still amazing.
2 - Best one by far, you can never watch it enough.
3 - Eh its ok.
4 - Eh its ok.
Prometheus - A bit hard to follow but great
Covenant - Explains Prometheus better and is great.

AVP movies, dear god burn them.

It is clear that Resurrection is the undisputed worst Alien film.

Interesting

Also OP, why aren't you watching the franchise right now?

Lol you're taking this too seriously man. You can assume it lived if you want to, but it's just an assumption because the movie never said it survived

And we're talking about a fictional monster here. It doesn't have to follow the laws of physics, they can make up whatever rules they want for it

Alien, Aliens and A3 are definitely worth watching. It's not like they're that long. Just sit your ass down and watch them already
