That's why I said: Kratoms true value is helping opiate addicts get off opiates.

People do die from opiate withdrawals. But you know what is much more common? Overdoses.

As a former medic, I've responded to THOUSANDS of overdoses. Go ahead and ask me how many Kratom overdoses I've responded to.

Kratom =/= Opium

You can die from dehydration due to vomiting diarrhea etc. so like I said, you don’t die directly from the withdrawal. The things where withdrawals can kill you are benzos and alcohol

No, but I worked in a business that sold massive quantities.

Before you judge, just know that NOBODY else warned consumers of it's risks more than I did.

That's also where I learned about hundreds of actual opiate addicts using Kratom to get off of opiates.

Up to them. The easy way is to get them into a detox where they can be given suboxone or subutex and weened off by a doctor in a week.

Having a doctor feed you your meds while in a detox clinic is different than a fully blown addicted person trying to treat themselves with an endless supply of kratom.

For obvious reasons.

How much were you doing a day? I haven't had any problems with withdrawal. You slowly bring the dosing down and then take a month off and back at it. Now you start taking 50 grams a day of it you have a serious problem.
