FUUURK i am the same minus the million dollars lol. I feel like as soon as I master something or reach the goal I get bored of it and am looking for a new challenge.

I have been self-employed for 6 years now and honestly, it was very rewarding the first few years when I made it.. aka made 2x more money than at my last job but I have been miserable for a few years now. Id love to be abe to stick to one thing and if i could i am sure id be ceo 10k a day but that is not the case.

I just did an interview for a job because I am so bored of what I been doing for the past 6 years that id rather be 9-5 corporate slave than do what I do now and be free.

I'm asking because I want to get into this line of business.


As for being bored, you need to find a way to delegate some of the menial tasks (e.g. putting price tag). This will mean paying someone to do chit.

Once you have the time freed up, look at what you really enjoy and do more of it.

Also, when you free up the time, don't neglect being part of a community/having friends/family, etc. If you have none of those then find a hobby and make friends (or do things with co-workers outside...grab a beer every now and then, it'll improve your mood)

Haha OP that is the price we pay as business owners.

2nd year of business for me,
1st year making well over 100k.

Gonna have my 5th day off in 2 years on Christmas. I'm happier than ever though.

I work 7am-1pm at that job. 30 hours a week. 49 weeks a year (3 weeks paid off) 90k a year. $1836 a week. $61 an hour. and they pay for my health insurance $2200 a month).

I may quit. But it is easy. Every morning I think if I should quit or work. And I CHOOSE to work that job. When it is a choice it fells better and less stressful to work the job.

I have a physical location. No franchise. I have a website but sold zero online. I do not have purchasing available online. I am going to get into the online store business next year. I am very aware of costs, labor and pricing. Say you have a decent margin of 50%. If you save $50k of cost, that is 100k less of gross sales you need to make. So it seems stupid but if available I work it instead of paying the $15 hour + tax + ins + everything

As far as getting into it. Right now it is very hard to get stock of anything to do with outdoors/fitness. BUT you can sign some amazing deals on leases now lol
