This can be said about all the major fashion brands lmao. They're marketed towards pseudo-rich people who need to flex their status as much as possible.

True rich people know those are mostly gaudy trash, and know the actual top tier brands to shop at.

Yep. I actually buy any leather goods I want/need from Etsy. It's all handmade by leathersmiths who use quality materials and is a fraction of the price of bullchit luxury brands.

BRB $500 for a handmade Horween leather travel duffle from Etsy.
BRB $5000 for the same duffel from Louis Vuitton.

Fkn lol at plebs.

First of all most of the trashy people wear fake Lv.

The trashy people that wear the real stuff all wear the basic monogram stuff

They make other stuff that doesn’t have their the monogram plastered all over it. That’s what the true high class people get. Then the normal people don’t know it’s LV.

My GF got me a magnetic money fold wallet off etsy and had it embossed with a quote. Super high quality stuff.

My brother also makes leather goods and used to sell on Etsy but their fees are too crazy so now he just has a website and local markets.

There are people from all walks of life in every range. I know plenty of people with legit money that do rock all thoes designer type brands. They come across a bit as a dbag to me....but thats because I prefer not to be a walking billboard for some brand. I try to keep it simple. Buy high quality material, good fit and no labels. Once I find a shirt, shorts or pants that I like how it fits and feels, I tend to buy 5 of the same thing....even the same color.

For purses, LV is still higher quality than say Michael Kors or similar. But my wife similar to me prefers to carry brands without large labels. Bottega Veneta, some chanel without the bling gold chain or big CC crap, etc.

Yeah, it's actually a great site (minus the outrageous fees), especially for supporting small businesses. I ordered a custom leather backpack last year made from Red Wing leather. Cost me $350 (lol) but it was completely customized and will last forever. I love it.

PM me info about your bros leather shop. I'm always looking for a good leathersmith.

Not exactly what I meant lol but also yes.

What I was referencing, is that actually rich people shop brands like Ermenegildo Zegna, , where the clothes looks like anything you could pick up in a target, but costs like $2000 for a sweater. The costliest brands don't plaster branding all over them

Of course, there are some gaudy designer brands that truly rich people do buy as well, such as Hermes or Phillip Plein. And even so, LV/Gucci/Prada do have top tier offerings. At that point it's a matter of taste. But you'll never see someone actually rich with the same model as someone who just wants to flex the name.
