nope dont pay or tip his own workers thats his responsibility, he could have made it right to begin with. in all legalities tho, you can actually sue him to fix your damaged headlights and win easily.. but since its $130 bucks i'd say move on

I do feel bad for him though about his son, no one should ever have to bury their kid..

BUT

he—unprofessionally—brought it up to you... at an inappropriate time regarding money and attorneys and threats and chit, so my sympathy dies a bit there.

That said, I’m glad they got the funeral arranged.

I like the fact that the owner made no attempt to actually accept responsibility and apologize the for the chit work done by his employees.
First thing I would have said is something along the lines of "Sorry you had this issue with our services. It's never occurred with any of our 100's of customers over 13 years of business and we will learn from this."

Instead he had to pass the blame to some temp hire and have the last word. Strong everything

Yup. guy texting me/replying on yelp isn't the one who showed, he stated in the review reply that the people who did the work were 3rd party contractors who he no longer uses so I'm not too worried. Even so, my workplace has cameras pointing directly at where I park, and they don't know my home address. Even if he/they did, they gonna have a real bad time coming to either.
