I was down there a few months ago, and a lot of people were wearing masks and temperature checks were done everywhere.

They do care, at least somewhat.
Here where i live restaurants, bars and malls have to close at 8pm tops and you have to wear a mask to get in any respectable place.

Its super hit or miss. We are in the DR for the winter and currently at our 3rd resort.

The 1st resort had hand sanitizer at the entrance and mask signs but I didn't see a single person get scolded for not wearing one.
2nd resort was far more lax. Almost no masks anywhere and no one seemed to care at all.
3rd resort, they are on full lockdown mode. Shoe cleaning mats between every room, masks mandatory everywhere, hand sanitizer stations everywhere and you can't get food without wearing disposable gloves that they personally give to you at the door.
Eat in a deficit to lose weight.
Hit your protein and fat minimums to stay healthy and keep your gainz.
Lift heavy and do HIIT to look and feel awesome.
Use the internet to learn why you should do these things and how to do these things.

this. was there for a week last month. other than having to wear a mask in a cab/shuttle and at the airport, it was pre-covid life everywhere else. a handful of maskcels wore them at the resort and we laughed at them

our resort told us they were allowed 60% capacity but they were running around 40% that week. brb not overcrowded or waiting in line for dinner etc

Sounds like the goat time to go, no bullchit restrictions but also no crowds.

Really looking forward to going in a few weeks I just hope nothing changes, everything happens so suddenly it's hard to get too excited.

I live in Mexico City. Everything is shut down as of December 20th. I have been going to underground night clubs and having parties and taking 0 precautions this year and haven't even had the sniffles. I'm going to San Cristobal for new years, its still green so it should be semi normal

Tulum looked normal from what ive seen. Everyone on the beach partying it up, restaurants / bars open, no masks etc. Jelly. Would love to go back.
