The military would turn into a zoo, especially with our modern society. You'd have a such a toxic culture within, because people are forced to serve and would just make things harder to function. This is for Americans, as most young kids will have an entitled mindset and create friction.

i would prefer to be ghost recon,
probably nothing would beat the thrill of being behind enemy lines gathering intelligence,
i did apply once to join the army but it got rejected
