Likely something eats your dogs schit. srs. I've had bear come in and eat all my dogs schit laying around the yard in the Spring when they are hungry from hibernaiton. But yea, in the cold most the dog schit just freezes and appears all over in the Spring. That's when I'm hoping a bear comes in to eat it...if not i hand the kids a shovel and bucket.

Yes and when the spring comes, it all comes back to life.

I live in Los Angeles now, though, and only poop we have to worry about is homeless folks.

Yeah, pretty sure various beetles and frogs etc. eat da poo poo. Plus, we get torrential rain and hot sun. Da poo poo does not stand a chance.
