If they were worth sticking around for, they would still have the dad (srs).
Obviously some real exceptions where the guy is a complete piece of work, but in that case you are not only dealing with raising another person's kid on your dime and time, but you get to deal with the chitty ex too. Single moms can get the dick but if I ever introduced a single mom to my friends as my gf I hope they'd take a giant chit on me (no homo)
