Ricotta cake with berry marmalade - this was supposed to collapse on itself more, almost like a Basque cheesecake. The original recipe also calls for a kumquat marmalade but that's not a thing I can get my hands on. Really nice, not too sweet at all.

And a St. Louis Gooey Butter Cake.

Was a bit much, I could eat maybe a spoon of this and I was done.

Pistachio Pinwheel Cookies. Shortbread-y and delicious! I was surprised by how easy and forgiven these were to make.

I'm sure that tea cake is nice and all but it needs some buttercream or sprinkles or whipped cream.

My wife will eat cake by itself without icing and I just don't get it tbh.

My cut begins tomorrow morning. This was the absolute worst thread to mosey on into this evening.

Hey now, technically I'm murrican but I didn't grow up here.
