I was just reading the book AIC The Untold Story about the last few years of his life and it was awful. I mean to just hole yourself up in your apartment and do drugs and play video games all day and night while ignoring your friends and family sounds like hell (except the video game part).

His ex-fiancee didn't have his funds so she ended up whoring herself out for heroin before she died in I think 95 or 96. Then they said he gave up as she was his soul mate.

He could still be performing today if he kicked drugs vs. ending up dead in his apartment for 2 weeks before anyone found his body. Ugh.

It's not that I didn't like them, I just wasn't into any grunge. I was from the 80's with the whole hair band thing and that's what I preferred. There's certain grunge songs I like but as a whole not a fan. I'd say I liked more AIC than any of the other bands of that era.

Layne is one of the greatest singers of all time. Definitely the best of the "Grunge" era. His voice is absolutely untouchable. The harmonies with Jerry Cantrell are legendary.

Yeah my girlfriend recently introduced me to River of Deceit and I love it. Even though I was in my 20s in that era, I didn't even know about Mad Season.

i grew up a huge fan of pearl jam. mad season is the most prolific pj side project.

brad was a good band, three fish was a good band but mad season was fuking beastly. they were gonna do a second record too but it never came to be.


chris cornell actually fronted them for the 20th anniversary show. amazing chit to hear him sing those songs
