Can confirm, I’ll be lined up as soon as this pandemic chit is over and blockbusters begin hitting the big screen

Actually excited af to get into a packed theatre again and take in the next big title with other, physically present human beings. Seems like such a strange concept right now

I got solid financial advice years ago, and still live by it today.

This whole nonsense proved that advice to be absolutely true. If you have money and are looking to invest, look where everyone else is going. DON'T GO THERE. Go the opposite way.

It's like the gold rush. The first few people got rich and made a killing. Then it reverberates to everyone else over time. People are sheep and decide to do the same to strike gold. They think "Hey if I go now, I may make it in time and find some too and strike it rich!" Then they travel and sacrifice everything only to get there and spend years losing. Instead, a smart financially minded person would see these people as idiots, and go a different route that is now opening up because people are ditching other investments to go to the same place.

This is the same thing. Apply that to everything. Fashion, toys, etc.

Stop being fukking sheep and hopping on bandwagons when things look cool, awesome, or fun! Yea let's stick it to the hedge funds! You guys are getting played so fukking hard right now it is hard to watch. Same with this silver squeeze. Some hedge fund guys made up that silver squeeze to redirect you guys, make you guys over pay premiums for something you know nothing about, or make you buy SLV which funds the very entities you're "fighting against." Not even these redditors are stupid enough to short silver.

Money reveals who are the retards in this world.

This reminds me when chitcoin went crazy. By the time it is on mainstream news and your mum is asking you about it you are very very late to the party and no good will come of it.

Lettuce be cereal. Holding is not worth it.

I kinda got swept up by the hype. I feel gutted for selling, but now I'm determined not to repeat mistakes and I've learned a few things.

For those repeating my mistake, all I can say is just keep learning and thinking about the game theory here. The longer I thought about it, the more I realized that hedge funds are still in the driver's seat.

Hedge Funds advantages:
- Manipulate the media
- The capital to drive down stock prices through 'ladder' attacks
- Scare out holders (I basically fall into this category) -> which lead to more people selling

Hedge disadvantages:
- Short interest

Retail investor advantages:
- Hold

Retail investor disadvantages:
- Disorganised
- Limited capital
- Limited patience

Even if the stock reaches, say, $600 what happens? You keep on holding? Can you even convince strangers to hold? The moment waves of people start selling, it causes a domino effect and price starts dropping.

Hedge Funds will still take a loss from all this, but they have some control over how much they lose. Stubborn bagholders are just destined to lose. I don't see how the stock is going to shoot back up again. And even if it does retail investors become adversaries.

The real problem here is that we cannot force hedge funds to sell their shorts to drive up the price. Nor do we know when they are expected to sell their shorts.

Alot of people that bought AMC and GME are like me. We had like 1-2k to just light on fire and hope that we wake up one morning to two hedge funds filing for bankruptcy... there is no exit strategy.

I saw a movement where other people were joining together under a common cause that I supported. I resigned to literally never sell my shares when I bought them.

I think the stock market as a whole is overvalued right now, I think the USD is also overvalued. The only stocks I would consider buying are AMC and GME for pure lols.... All my other bets are against the stock market and the USD.

feb9th is the true test. We get to see actual short data on the 9th of February. Provided they don't counterfeit that as well lol.

Melvin and their team of high testosterone traders is making savage, well timed blows to the GME longs by flooding the market with their continuous new short positions. Probably spent all weekend lining up more capital. Battle of will, retail investors are dropping like flies as their inexperience and fear overcome their thinking. Melvin and the other shorts are functioning as one unit. While the retail investors, all looking out for themselves, start to reassess what they're doing. Watch for a huge push over the next week to drive this stock down. Shorts need to cover at prices that won't kill them. They also love this volatility, because they can take out new short positions at what they think are insane prices, and just ride the waves making money as it goes down, then letting it go back up (giving the retail investors some false hope each time). A noble effort, but the opposition is, in Devon Larratts words, wayy wayy too strong.

The latest round of fund injection means that Robinhood has raised more capital in a week than at any point since its inception in 2013, giving it enough financial muscle to meet any funding needs stemming from the trading boom.
