Have you tried just turning off the electronics & just reading before bed?
Either that or I fall asleep listening to Chuck Smith quite easily.

I used to nap in the library for an hour sitting upright. If I get in a car and I am not driving, within 5 min I'm out cold unless I force myself to stay up.
I get 7-9 hours every night depending on when I have to get up.
I thank the lord I don't have sleep issues. If I only get like 5-6 hours I feel like death and am just a zombie going through the motions. I'm sorry you have this OP. Maybe try cutting out caffeine completely, and take cbd? A lady at my work started taking cbd gummies for some pain issues and she said she now gets almost a full night rest. Wasn't her intended use but she won't go to bed now without them. Worth a shot. And she tried everything including sleeping pills, melatonin, etc.

If all I had was exactly 200K yes in a heartbeat. If I had nothing and could get a loan for 200K I would do it.

It's like $25-30 for a bottle of sleeping potion that will last for six months.

But yeah.. start smoking indica before bed. It will change your life. You'll be able to follow a routine. And you need to smoke it often enough to where the BIG HIGH effect isn't such a hitter.. literally every night or every other night.. like a guy on celltech you can't use it here and there and expect results. Once you've got a slight tolerance for it, you wont be BAKEDAF and you'll be able to organize your brain in a way so you can properly relax and sleep the second your head hits the pillow. The problem with cannabis is that once youve built a tolerance you figure, fk it, I'll smoke all day to hyper control my brain... but it's not "the way". Productivity relishes. Need to only use it before sleep IN a sleep schedule... and BONG, joints dont hit right.

Same boat. Can only sleep 3 hours/day crew. Once I got those three hours, its like its over kunt get the fuk up now you aint getting more, my brain signals.
I do not feel like a zombie, but I fear for the effect this would have on me as I am growing older. Will not resort to any medicine unless, God forbid, should it affect my capability to do anything.

IF OP really doesn't want to give cannabis a try (it dead ass unquestionably helps you fall to sleep),
Complain of some type of muscle twinges/soreness/spasms in your back or some chit to a doctor and get a prescription to Flexeril/Cyclobenzaprine. It's generally the most prescribed muscle relaxer for chit like that. It doesn't do jak chit for muscles but it makes my so tired I can't take it in the middle of the day at all, and I generally have a huge tolerance for chit like that.

****** + turn lights low and hour before bed, caffeine ONLY in morning. 10/10 insomniac here. This solved my sleep issues.
The other stuff is as effective as the ******. Humans evolved to watch the sun set, sit around camp fire at night, have a meal, huddle up in some yak fur and have a nap. Having redbull & playing video games is pretty much the worst possible thing you can do to go to sleep. Plan your day out, wake up, coffee in morning, sunlight in morning, circadian rythm gets used to the pattern. TV or netflix is ok at night but switch your screens to low blue light (f.lux) Blue light causes your brain to think its day time.

I have so much respect for it now and am so terrified of ever cornering myself into that hole again, that I'm able to use sparingly. I still wish I could just drown in them every semi-waking moment and always be in a half zen coma state.

Most normal people can solve their sleep issues with light therapy alone. I was on anti-psych meds for 20 years then stopped.... causing rebound insomnia.

Also don't ever use Melatonin. It works for a week or two then screws with your ability to stay asleep. Wake up same time every day, do the light therapy at night, dim your tv or monitor & phone to dimmest levels, run f.lux or other blue light filters on ALL screens, netflix and relax (no games or using your brain to think)... eventually you will fall asleep.

I believe there is a drug called GHB that is used to treat narcolepsy that quickly puts you into REM sleep. Apparently bodybuilders used to take it all the time basically for instant sleep
