Rent sucks but it’s the price you have to pay to live in the city and work in a certain role, live a certain lifestyle
What’s the alternative? Go work in rural Canada for 1/4 as much but pay a 1/4 in rent
It all evens out

Driving 3-4 hours a day, it’s very sensible to take comfort into account, even if it means paying a little more, imo. Imagine spending 4 hours inside a car you hate every day instead of a car you love... just to save a few bucks.

- work will pay for gas which will cover the car payment ....
Not sure if srs, how the phuck is your job going to give you so much money in gas that it pays for a $500+ car payment AND the gas itself?
On top of that driving 4 hour trips will cost you more than your job will ever give you unless they’re just giving you money away.
That’s a $80,000+ car and just because it cost $28k used doesn’t mean it has the service costs of a toyota.

-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.
-I'd rather live life saying "I failed" than "I could have"

You should clearly worry about saving money but I think a bigger focus should be on earning a higher income and progressively increasing it. Save money, but live the life you want in the process so you’re not miserable. I could die tomorrow.

I remember a guy I knew had to pay $8000 for a catalytic converter for his Merc, it was 2-3 years old I think. Don't be a fool, buy a toyota. Read a book called "The Toyota Way"
Buy expensive car now = broke later
Cheap car now = rich later

All fund companies pay for their external reps mileage and gas.

You get that capital via working lol
The guy who is working 80 hour weeks making 150k is going to obtain that capital at a faster rate
Obviously the ideal situation is to earn as much as possible and then live as frugally as possible but you gotta live in the moment to some extent ...

looks like a sick car dude. 45k miles isn't too bad. I bought my used car with like 17k miles on it.
I would say it depends on how much you drive. If you live and work in the city it's fine.
I bought a car like that and then ended up switching jobs and driving like 80 miles a day... now putting a ton of miles on a luxury car lmao... not smart. Wish I bought a basic bitch car to rack on the miles.

Rule of thumb for luxury cars. If it doesn't have an OEM warranty, don't buy it. If all you can afford is entry level, don't buy it. 43k miles is 7k miles off the end of the warranty.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Tesla used model S would be dope if the charging network in and around you is good but I have a feeling it isn’t, being Canada and all.
Get a nice used car, E class would also be dope but even C or CLA are fine tbh. I’m a Mercedes fan personally. Pull up in a ‘05 G-Wagen to statusmog and slootmaxxx (semi-srs)
I share the opinion we can die tomorrow why not enjoy a little while also saving responsibly. Nothing wrong with balance

Back in the early 2000's, for a few years I had a $500/month car allowance to spend as I saw fit. I got a decent car at that time (VW Golf) for $1,500 and put the rest towards vacation or mortgage every year.

For a car I'd go with Lexus. Way more comfortable than any honda or toyota, with the exception of the avalon but those are the price of a lexus anyways.
And has reliability plus the name to go with it so you won't look like a peasant driving a civic.
I would say get the suv - the GX460 but it gets chit gas mileage. The cars are fine too though.
You will want to kill yourself if you get any commuter toyota or honda driving that far.
