I feel your pain op. I had a similar experience. Let me make this short story unnecessarily longer.

I'm not a mask guy, but I wear them in the required places. The second the mask becomes optional I will throw all mine in a fire 🔥 and never wear one again, even if asked nicely.

So my gym requires a mask, I literally feel like it's going to give me a heart attack, it's the worst.

So I noticed some people pulling the mask down while they do sets. The only thing more annoying then wearing the mask would be for someone to mask shame you. So to avoid that possibility I never did it.

Time went by, weeks turned into months. I began to not wear the mask in between sets.

About 2 weeks ago I'm doing a set on some back machine. I see some girl in the gym I haven't seen before. Very average looking girl with purplish hair. She's far away from me, maybe 25 feet. She notices me not wearing the mask (I'm facing her direction on the machine) stops, then looks at me making hand gestures to tell me I don't have a mask. I give her a small dismissive nod.

For the rest of the time I had the masknoff and was taking ocassional sips of water seeing if she would say anything else. She didn't.

My guess.... she was a goth type of chick that probably got ignored or made fun of by my younger doppelganger and she's bitter at the world.

Like its my fault shes not hot with purple hair. I can't help it that I don't want to bang her.

Life is strange.

Its damn near impossible to breath when lifting hard with a mask on...especially when benching or squatting heavy.

In CA it's mandatory so I just "drink a lot of water."

Phuck these stupid pricks going to the gym and finding ways to make this clown world even more clownish.
