I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, obviously not all cops do chit like this. Id say 90% of my personal interactions with police have been great really.
But this is unprofessional and makes the whole industry look bad, you’d think there would be swift and brutal repercussions and stronger effort to cut the cancer out.

I hate the majority of my clients because a lot of legal clients are also scum/crazy, but I’m always a professional around them. That bar should be higher if you get to carry a gun and have the ability to literally detain people and throw them in a hole underground.

We over incarcerate in this country and we also make police do things that really shouldn’t be their job like dealing with legit mental cases. Big reform is needed across the board. It’s not as simple as all cops are bad or all cops are good.

Edit: why don’t they have to carry malpractice insurance like doctors and lawyers though?

60 million police interactions with the public every year, 20 million traffic stops. I'd say as a whole policing is doing well. Of course there are bad cops, daniel shavers case is especially unfair. That cop was scum just like OP

reminded me of that one video of the pest control dude who was on his hands and knees crawling towards police being lit up by that one cop after trying to pull his pants up as they were falling off. the video was a nightmare, I couldn't imagine being in that situation, and despite doing everything the cops told you to do, still being shot and killed

No. It's not confirmation bias. My police department has a deep history of corruption. Our former chief of police himself was just prosecuted by the FBI for years of police corruption.

I personally know a police officer who got 2 months in jail after being found with 100's of thousands of drugs provided by a network deep within our own police department. Too many corrupt fukers up there in the police, period.

One of my longest acquaintances is a high ranking police officer. He was a gangbanger and always loved abusing his authority. Nothing has changed. It's too easy for people like this to get into the police departments. Standards are far too low.

I'm not a cop hater at all. I have the utmost respect for the FEW honorable cops out there truly wanting to help.

I don't even know where to start because those offering solutions are worse than the bad cops TBH. For instance, holding police accountable, by putting cops on trial and ruining their lives when they were clearly in the right.
