Tried to get the last guy to commit to buying some of my kids candy they were selling for a fund raiser. Went on for like 6 minutes before he hung up.

I don't even have kids.

If they call you "sir".....go on about assuming your gender.
Diverting the conversation about something very personal usually works.....just make chit up.

I had a phone scammer call me about replacement windows. I was on a long drive, so decided to fuk with him. Phone call went on for over 20 mins, as he had me sold on all of the upgrades, etc.

He then needed to schedule an appointment to check my house and asked for my address. Then I made up an address "100 Pine Street, Apartment 5B".

He responded..."wait, you rent an apartment?!?"

Me: "Yes, and the windows suck! These new ones will be great!! I'm sure the landlord will pay for them"



SOB hung up on me.

Most of them are automated, I don't even bother. They spoof numbers somehow, so if you call back, it's most likely a regular persons number. I just don't answer calls, from numbers I don't know, and if it was important they can either leave a voicemail or text me.

I usually just address them as ****** even though they give some american name and try to pull off some ridiculous accent. The call goes one of two ways typically, I tell ****** not be a loser and find a real job, or I just flat out ask them if they suck cawk. Their responses are always angry, but lulsy

I saw one where this dude said who was calling, and the guy said the guy he meant to call was murdered, and since the suspects phone was called he had to hang on the line, otherwise it would be traced and he'd be arrested as a prime suspect for the murder. The guy had no clue what was going one and the dude questioned him like a cop the entire time.

I also do not blame the indians in the call centers for the problem. Look into some of the documentaries on Indian call center life, work hours, depression, burnout, etc. . .

Our free to call someone phone system and lack of regulation on these scammers who often spoof their number is the problem.

Had to post back in this thread with an update


Got called early this morning and was woken up by it. Saw was scammer, didn’t answer.

Got called about an hour later by a separate scammer and was still pissed about scammer waking me up earlier so I decided to answer it.

I was gonna try and mess with him with some ideas y’all had in here but I was so pissed I just cussed him out and told to never call me again. He said sorry! Sorry! Multiple times while I was telling him to fuk off haha

Maybe I’ll have to restraint to mess with them next time, who knows

Two things I do:

1. Ask them if they could hold on a second, then leave the phone by speaker while music is playing.

2. One time a girl called selling newspapers- I kept asking her the same 3-4 questions rewording them each time.

After about 15 minutes of wasting her time pretending I was interested I quickly told her I wasn't interested and hung up.
