I think people complain about stay at home wives who have no home management skills and treat being a stay at home wife like everyday is a weekend. If you're staying home and you don't have at least 3-4 hours of actual housework/betterment work to do between making sure the house is 100% organized (a quick 1 hour routine in the morning), cooking actual food (another 2 hours or so), exercising for an hour, and spending an hour doing some type of hobby / pursuit then you're doing it wrong.

My mom was a stay at home, as were my grandmothers and my wife is now. Rarely do I see them sitting on the couch watching soap operas or playing on phones. It's wake up, cook real breakfast, organize the house, get the kid(s) ready, spend the morning on healthy kid activities, then take a 2 hour break when the kid(s) naps - probably working in an hour of exercise and then an hour or so of actual downtime. Then said kid gets up so it's time to do more healthy kid activities, start a real dinner, clean the house up again before bedtime.

I'm simply amazed at the amount of 'stay at home moms/wives' who are in reality just lazy people. They don't work outside of the house or inside of the house, but for some reason a large subset of men tolerate it so it happens. An actual housewife is a valuable thing.

Edit to add - in fairness there are ****loads of guys out there who are just happy to coast through life and never become leaders. Without a leader your family will just stall out which is what you see out there in the wild, families with no leadership.

She's right though. How many women nurses do you see literally quitting or threatening to quit their job because of Covid making it "too hard". They are so used to going to work, tik tok and instagramming all day and collecting a paycheck. But when chit gets real, they cry and bish and moan.

Mine always wanted to be a housewife but she also comes from a very small town in what most people would consider the deep south so that isn't all that uncommon out there.

As for women feeling like they're selling themselves short by being a housewife, I think that's because a lot of men aren't worth a damn. I see it all the time, working dead end jobs, moving from employer to employer, not doing their part raising kids, not being a member of their local community or someone that family can turn to for advice. That's the way she goes though, not many people in 2021 seem to pick partners for any qualities that are meaningful when it comes to sustaining a long term relationship now.

Bingo. A wife who does these things should be cherished. It is so rare to find a girl like that though when taking into consideration how many women actively reject that lifestyle base on social pressure and then you just have lazy women who are wastes of life to begin with.

you need to make about 200K nowadays to support a family. Wife working is a necessity, not a luxury. Very very few men make enough money to support a family by themselves

Meanwhile someone like me has the financial resources to support a woman to stay at home. But anytime I swipe on Bumble / Tinder I only seem to attract 30+ year olds and hambeasts. Life is expensive as it is to pay for my own stuff I'm not going to pay for things for a woman who couldn't even get me 100% let alone 50% hard. I only want a woman younger than 24 who has a healthy BMI and healthy mind.
