The old Gillettes vintage fatboy adjustable razors are possibly the best of these, with gillette silver blue blades ( Good blades is the tricky part to source)
Warm towel over the face before shaving for a minute or two.
Taylor of old Bond street shaving cream or Proraso Shaving cream (the tube version)
Hot water.
Now that will take a bit of time and isn't as convenient as a fusion or a harrys razor but it gives a better result. You can try a straight edge razor but they can be even more time-consuming of a shave.

But I think middle Eastern genes have the best beard genetics . Thick and full not scant and patch like the rest of Asia
The also have the best styles with the beards , but I prefer clean shave
