Never understood why certain professions have to pay federal tax. When I was in the Army, had to pay federal tax, while the income is straight from the government in the first place.

You’d be better off filing the returns and just lying on the forms then not filing at all that’s stupid.

Some people actually pay a NEGATIVE federal tax rates.

Look up the Earned Income tax credit. Easy AF to fraud and in fact is the biggest source of tax fraud - not big corporations or HNW individuals who obviously pay someone smart to LEGALLY reduce their tax burdens.

We have a government that is 30 TRILLION dollars in debt that will destroy a family over $25,000 in taxes.

Besides the irs has shrunk so much in recent years and probably doesn't have the manpower to catch me since I'm self employed.

Anyway pretty sure I'm just gonna stop filing and never look back. What are some downsides to this? Obviously I won't be able to get loans (especially home loans) without tax returns to prove my income. Anything else?
This is a terrible idea. You definitely risk prosecution and jail - if you’re a dad, don’t do that to your kids.

Run for office, or back someone who you think will at least work on spending tax dollars more effectively (if such a person exists). Or, try to go abroad if there’s a country that you find preferable.
