I did the exact same thing at a similar job. Just walked out without saying anything. Got a letter like 9 months later saying I was terminated for not working the required amount of shifts.

no piss test, no real interview honestly.... just applied online and got a call to come to an orientation.

and tbh the issue was more so not being able to have my phone on me at all..... especially considering i have kids. like there's no logical reason imo for why i should have to leave my phone in my vehicle. having a phone in my pocket isn't keeping me from being able to perform that job.... like i said, i've done it before at UPS and handled my chit phone in pocket and air pod in one ear

it's a power tripping bullchit rule and it literally only applies to package handlers and nobody else

like what is the harm in taking it in and primarily keeping it in ur pocket.... ur taking away more than my phone.... like that's my watch too and literally everything else.

and dude was like "well, here's a number for our control room down here. You can jot this down and give it to your kids and tell them or whoever is watching them that they can call this number if it's an emergency and someone will pick up and take the call and then they'll come get you"

fk outta here with being a grown ass adult and working for a company that's gonna treat u like ur in a fkin prison or some chit

no poverty work ethic here breh..... i've just put up with some chit in the past and gritted my teeth and i just ain't rly about doing that no more if i don't have to

and i'm not exactly enthusiastic about working for an employer that's gonna treat me similar to an inmate

Did that **** for a summer in college and it was MISERABLE. Brb stacking box after box in the back of the 100 degree truck. It’s hard work on another level. People would quit within a day or two constantly.

Lmao had an Amazon package handler job. First 30 mins during orientation I check my phone and got accepted to an internship. Noped out of there ASAP lmao

You had to wait until the first day of your job to find out those pretty obvious things? None of that came up while you were talking to them in the interview or with a recruiter? If something is make or break, why are you waiting until the day of starting to find out if it's a fit for you.

yea this is reasonable. my old job aslong as you didnt abuse it they didnt care. 100% barring phones on your person is retarded. sure at the plants you cant bring it into work areas, but never been anywhere that makes you keep it in your car. that is insane, would feel like a child
