Most people don't know he had a secret love affair with Ville Valo (lead singer from HIM). Ever since those two stopped being close, Bam got very depressed.

It’s likely a combination, but you nailed it.

Sleep deprived for numerous reasons, nutrient deprived from alcohol, likely generally dehydrated, and likely methamphetamine on board. The body and mind really can’t sustain that level of operation for very long without the wheels falling off.

I’m sure they’ve tried every option a million times, but he’s very clearly very near the point of no return. No ones destiny is set and I pray for him and everyone like him, but it’s unlikely he’ll be alive in 18 months at this rate.

You never know someone’s full story, but it’s very likely the death of his friend Ryan Dunn is something he needs more counseling and attention to. It likely doesn’t help either that he was clearly an insecure kid growing up in an unstable environment with some odd behavioral traits. It’s likely he feels betrayed and used by the money machine that is Hollywood and that he got pimped and used like a hoe. They aren’t your friends, it’s business.

For someone with relationship and trust issues ingrained in them, this is all a lot to handle. Jungian psychotherapy would be appropriate here.

Someone should go in there, get him working on editing again. Most people think he was just the dude that cried over snakes, but he was the guy in cky that was piecing ALL that footage together. Him and Dico were the driving forces, Bam being the one slapping everything together and putting music and what not, and Dico coming up with some of the weirdest comedy ever made. Unfortunately Dico didn't like the Jackass merger or fame and bailed. Bam went crazy when Dunn died.
