I have a theory on neck gains. I think they are a lot like calves. You ever see a fat dude with skinny calves? Once they lose weight they all have calves of the Gods. If you always do your best to hold your head up straight for good posture it works your neck without thinking about it. Notice the guys around you with good posture, not one of them has a pencil neck. The scrawny neck brahs always stand/sit in a slumped position with their head too far forward

It can be if you end up using incorrect form like any other exercise. But I can say that having a bigger neck has been associated with sleep apnea.

I went 15.5’ to 17’ neck while cutting 40+ pounds doing neck curls with harness or on bench. It definitely does make you feel and look better, but the breathing issue should be on the back of people’s minds here. Too much is not good.

Interesting. Having good posture and tucking your chin definitely makes your neck look bigger. That forward tilt some people have can't be good for your neck.

I think this happens more with overweight/fat necks not muscular necks or at least not to the same extent.

Definitely train your necks bros but be careful necks are really weak and the discs are easy to injury/bulge/rupture. Start extremely light and don’t add too much weight. Necks aren’t designed to hold crazy amounts of weight
